Chelsea started her first sewing project at the age of eleven. The love of fabric and the use of her creative talents were awakened. She designed and sewed her first formal gown at thirteen. This opened a whole new world of possibilities. She continued to pursue her passion by designing and drafting her own patterns, always with an emphasis on formal gowns. “It never ceases to fascinate me what shape you need to make in a 2D medium to create the right look in a 3D form.”
After high school, she secured employment at a local bridal boutique as their exclusive seamstress. Chelsea learned problem solving and gained experience with different styles and fabrics by doing alterations. However she noticed a need for a more individualized option for bride looking for more then the statuesque.
Wanting to pursue her dreams of design, Chelsea moved to Germany to further her education by attending school at Anna-Siemsen-Schule Textil und Bekleidung. She choose this program because of the comprehensive training in every aspect of the design posses, start to finish. She also worked with a designer as an apprentice seamstress at a bridal boutique in Hamburg in conjunction with her program. She excelled in her program and graduated with honors from the apprenticeship program and holds the certificate of a fashion seamstress.
In 2015 with seven years experience in the bridal industry, Chelsea’s dreams came true as she started her own label showcasing her unique and high quality designs. Keeping every aspect of design, production, fit and customer satisfactions under her careful eye is extremely important to her. “It doesn’t matter how good a design concept is, if the execution is off at any point the whole look will suffer. I want my studio to be the place you go to get a gown that makes you feel as stunning as that favorite pair of jeans you had no other has ever been able to compare to.” The joy of helping brides find what they are looking for and making there dreams come true, is the force that drives her.
