How long does it take to make a dress?
It takes a minimum of three weeks, timelines very based on complexity of design. For a relaxed and comfortable experience, we recommend six weeks to three months. It is always a good idea to start sooner rather than later, especially during the busy summer months. We may also need to make a special order for your material, so book early to avoid disappointment.
I like more then one dress! Can I combine the ideas?
YES! This is one of the major benefits of our boutique. Since every gown is created right here, we can accommodate ANY wishes you may have.
Where are the dresses made?
Right here in our boutique! We are delighted to be able to bring our customers a product that is NOT made overseas, but locally here in Kelowna, BC.
Why do I need to make an appointment to try on wedding gowns?
Although they are not required, appointments are recommended in order to give you the full attention of our designer.
How do I pay for my gown?
We accept MasterCard, Visa, debit, as well as cash and personal cheques (personal cheques are only accepted for deposit, not final payment). If you are ordering a special-order gown, we require a 50% deposit at the time you order. When the gown is ready for pickup, we require payment of the remainder.
What size gowns are available for me to try on?
Most of our samples range between size 38 to 44 (6 to 12), although we do have samples in sizes 34 to 48 (2 to 16). You can, of course, have any gown custom made in any size.
Will I get my deposit back if the wedding is cancelled?
No, the deposit covers the cost of your materials which cannot be re-cut, therefore deposits cannot be refunded.
Will I need alterations?
No, all our gowns are fitted exactly to your measurements. You won’t need to budget for alterations. To provide a perfect fit, we will do a couple of fitting along the way.
What should I bring to my first fitting?
You should bring the shoes and undergarments you are planning to wear on your wedding day. This will ensure a perfect fit.
How many fittings will I need?
Most brides require 3-5 fittings for an ideal fit. After the final fitting, we will also press your gown one more time. This is best done the week of your wedding, so it will be picture perfect.
